You and me both, I'd be a Smallmouf hunter. Biggest one I ever caught was 3.5lbs and I thought the thing was going to break my reel and rod and put a hole in my boat before it was over. Excitin'! Caught about 15 one AM in 62 foot of water fishing a Pop-R. Jokers would run out of 30' and hit it like an overloaded freight train with bad brakes.

Any time I head to Pickwick all I can think about is bass fishing. I have had the best day of fishing in my life, one morning at secret spot #2, somewhere on Pickwick. 3 people fishing in the boat and we caught one on every cast. Tripled from 6:30 till 11:00 then quit for the day. Probably caught 150-200 on that spot between all 3 of us. My buddy caught a 6 pound smallie to start out and then nothing but largemouth after that. Most were in the 1.5 -2.0 pound range, but about every hour or so someone would catch one that would bump 5 pounds or so.
I was pumped, called my bro and met him up there the next morning at daybreak and I think we got 3 bites.
