Anybody had it and what did it set you back? Are you glad you did it?

I'm trying out contacts again for the 3rd time. I just hate wearing glasses to see, but have never found contact I can wear. Trying out a different brand today and it's much better than the ones I got last week, but sure would like to ditch all this stuff if I could afford it.
