Thunder on Water Crappie Tournament resutls

Contrats to Bigger and Ringer on their win. Was a close one for sure.

From the results, minnows ruled and cranks drooled for sure. The key was finding water without so many dinks mixed in.....then again....isn't that always the key.

Even with the low number of boats, it was a nice payday with the total purse being $970, which was 100% of the entry fees + $250 added in from the TOW committee.

In addition, peepaw sent a nice group of sinkable structures from fishhiding.com which was divided up amongst the participants as well as some TOW Tshirts and a grab bag of items from the COE Safe Boating group headed up by Artie Hoff.

Also, a big thank you to Artie Hoff and the COE staff for having the tank and O2 set up and going and use of the facilities there. I didn't get an exact count, but we managed to release a little better than two thirds of the fish back to the lake and only had 1 floater visible 30 minutes after release. I can't say with certainty that all released will survive, but they had a pretty good shot at it I think.

I cleaned the 20 or so that didn't make it and will be delivering them back to Artie and his guys this week.
