Had to go back and re-read this thread for the umpteenth time and offer another opinion.. The 'Dink Hole' just beat last years Sardis winning weight.. I believe the rule changes have helped to an extent but it is stil early and up for debate dont believe it has been a full five years for Sardis and Enid on the 12" rule.. Got a question for the really smart fellas.. What about the population explosion of 'Black' Crappie..they dont get near as long near as fast as 'Whites'..do you think they will overpopulate??
I think anything will become over populated,if not kept in check. It does seem like we catch alot of small fish on sardis now days, but those used to be legal fish. The only thing that worries me is the thickness of the fish, those fish at enid were thin.I guess time will tell.
Big C, these firh at Enid have just come off the spawn and havent had time to get their Shoulders putback on yet. We had several fish the were pushing 2# but had it been later or earlier in the year they would have been pushing closer to 3. I am sure Speck and Yikes will agree.
