I wish my Mom was still here. The last trip we took was to Grenada and caught over 90. She would get so excited every time a fish hit.

I wish for the same thing in my father-in-law, RIP pops.
Same here. My Mom and Dad are both gone. My dad woulda Loved to sit on the front deck Spider rigging cause that's how we fished. We'd go catfishing ALOT. We'd bring our lawn chairs, cut a couple 2 foot long stick with forks to put the rods in and toss the rods out and wait for a cat to bite.
+1 on taking my dad fishing, wish he was still around.
Hopefully my new set up from E-Z poleholder will be sitting on my doorstep this afternoon when I get home. Then to set it up and go for my first cranking run on Bay Springs Saturday afternoon. I know where some striped bass and spots hang out. It is about 28' deep but the fish generally hang out about 12-14'. Maybe it will be a productive trip. I am sure I will learn alot about what not to do.
Then may even try to sneak off to a place a little north of Grenada and a little south of Sardis...
I hope so too Scott.. Give em a good workout..
Yep, I wish I could catch fish like my Dad, I swear he could catch a good un out of a muddy road ditch.. Maybe I can too, one of these days, jus keep on tryin.
Staying home today. It's supposed to be wet and windy all the way through Monday! That's just not fair.
Depents on the wind......went to a small lake about 10 miles from the house last weekend and caught a few......couple nice crappie but the wind got up and that was that.
Gonna try out the new rig at enid tomorrow, make sure theres no bugs. Gonna wet some cranks if all goes well.
Gonna try em at Grenada in the morning. Who knows, I may go to Enid before the weekend is over. I have been told I'm taking the ski boat out monday whether the fish are biting or not. I hate when she does that.
I'm thinking Enid this weekend. Hope the wind stays down. Not sure what it's going to take to catch them. Going to do a little spiderigging and crankin.
