Unless there has been a levee failure, there should not be any road closures, north or south of Lake Providence. Last known section of US65 under water was in May 1958 when Bayou Macon backed up, filled up, stopped up, and went over the road just south of Eudora. (I have pics of it somewhere) If you come from the north, you will see that dip about a mile south of the Macon Bridge. If it is over the road, there is no problem going around it by way of Hy 8 which goes down the banks of Grand Lake and back out to Hy 65, the scenic route.
Rip my brother left for Lake Concordia LA this am and said all roads were open. He went 61 s to Vicksburg and crossed the river.
