I got an email just a few minutes ago here it is


This morning I was contacted by Barry Vaughn, Investigator, of the Rankin County Sheriff Department, regarding the body they recently found floating in the reservoir. They are trying to identify him and making inquiries on this side of the reservoir just in case he lived on this side somewhere.

The victim is a balding man in his fifties and a little over 6 ft tall. He was kayaking in a green kayak.

Maj, there was a guy on either here or the Bullnettler board than was talking about a kayak and fishing the rez. I put this on there as well but haven't looked yet to see if anyone remembered him. That really bites but tthe rez will hurt you with a strong SW or west wind in a small boat

Man, I hope that wasn't the case...if it was, the person that did it deserves to have that eating at his conscience every minute of the rest of his pathetic life.

I do recall a guy talking about kayaking at one of the lakes.

I remember the guy talking about Nader in a YELLOW kayak...nothing on the Rez.

T-man and I saw him Sat morn and could barely see him because he was fishing the edge of grass that was taller than he was sitting on that kayak. We talked about him being in the alligator hot spot for the rez, but the Rankin SO said gators weren't the cause of death.

I remember too he was telling dd about butt putter creek,with all the stake beds.

The fellow they are talking about has been dead for over a week. They found him last Thursday and said he had been dead for 3-4 days. Probably a jealous husband got him. Not the guy y'all saw.
