The Canal on Hwy 305 was up to the bridge this morning. Water is over Hwy 305 just before you get to the canal heading north. A lot of water yet to come thru. All of the area from Hwy 310 on the south, Hwy 7 on the east and around Holly Springs to the north has to drain into Butla.

They can't let the water out due to MS River flooding.

Now we know why they drain it so much!! People living in the delta are glad they drain them.

I guess that's why they call them flood control lakes.

I seen 7 yesterday and thought it was 7 tenths, but it was 7 FOOT, dang that is a bunch of water since Butla is bigger than all the other lakes down there, right?
