    Default Butla info

We have a short turnaround on Fj's this time and it's less than 3 weeks before we hit Butla. I was doing some reading on the lake and it said there were some Specks (NOOO, not Chris #1) in the lake. What's the persentage of Specks to White Crappie in the lake? Are they as big as the white one's? I got hooked on catching them on Eagle this Winter and want to catch some even bigger than some of the 2 plus pounders I pulled in at Eagle. Those things are just plain out some MEAN fish. First one I caught was over 2 pounds and I thought I had ahold to a 4 or 5 pound Searun Striped bass. Sucker had me up under the boat for a long time before I got him out. Another Question. Is Butla on the Navionics Lake maps in a detailed map? Haven't had the chance to look yet. I do wish that the Nav maps would put more names of places on their maps so when someone tells you to try this or that place, you can just turn on your Nav maps and the name would be on there

Not very many specs in 'butla. I can't remember the last time I caught one there. Butla is on the navionics card but just like Grenada and Sardis, only the main part of the lake shows any detail.

Now that's down to brass tacks right there.
I want to saw we pulled a couple out of there fishing stumps, but not 100% sure. Whites are predominant, by far...and gar.

Thanks guys. I can't remember what site I found it on but they said something about Specks being in there. Sounds like it's about like the rest of the COE lakes, just muddier is all. LOL

PLEASE don;t talk about Gar. I HATE GAR after Chotard last year. I didn't know gar would jump like that but MAN were they leaping out of the water when they'd hit that crankbait. Kinda fun catching them for ohh bout the first 2, they it gets on my nerves

A fj at Butla in less than 3 weeks with all this water?? That should be really really interesting for sure. Probably really need to think about changing it to Enid or Washingon.

You got that right... Enid is rising but not too terribly fast.. Maybe just swapping Enid and Butla dates would help...Water will be so far in trees youll never find fish.

OK, Yea, I'm a newbie, but what's this about the "fj"? I'm not a tournament fisherman in general, but not opposed either. It may be a good opportunity to meet some of you guys at Arkabutla this time around.
