Coe lakes should rise now

Mississippi River stage at Arkansa City is set to crest at 47.5 on 5 12. Thats 10.5 feet above flood stage. I think they will revise it tomorrow and will most likely top out at 50 ft. It will be a while before they can let any water out of the lakes.

They still got arkabutla at 1000 CFS and none of the others are above 100. Think I might call them and let them know.

Its not great if you have property behind the leveee. This could set a new record and the levee system is over 80 years old.

They are dumping 2200-6500 cfs out of Greers right now and it still rose over 6" since midnight.

I don't understand what you mean "behind" the levee. They are designed to keep the water of the Delta folks especially during the Spring rains and that sounds like what they are trying to do. What am I missing?

There ar people who have homes behind the levee, and its going to get almost all of them. They have to build them above the 100 year flood plain but this one is going to get in almost all of them. The Corps has been holding water all year long from St. Louis and above. They got caught this uear with all the snow and rain.
