Friday – 333 Restaurant @ 6:00
Saturday – Registration 5:30 Grenada Landing
- Start Fishing at 7:00, stop fishing 2:00, weigh in cut off 3:00
Cooking starts at 4-4:30 @ Pavillion at Grenada Landing.
Friday - Festivities will begin at 333 restaurant at 6 sharp-ish until Billbob says it's time go. When ya hit the door, ask for the Crappie Tournament group. Reservation is made and we'll have the back room to ourselves. I told her to expect 20 to 30, but the room will handle more so ya'll come.
Saturday - Registration and sign up will start at 5:30 AM at Grenada Landing with the start fishing time at 7PM. Stop fishing at 2PM and be in the weigh in line no later than 3PM or you're DQ'ed. Weigh in is at Grenada Landing as well. Remember, limit is 6 poles per boat, but you can fish more than 2 per boat if you want. 7 fish, 12” minimum.
The Fisher’s of Men Tournament that I mentioned earlier was cancelled, so that’s not a problem and that will leave the pavilion at Grenada Landing open for us. I checked with Artie Hoff and he’ll have it unlocked and open for us including the gate so we can roll trucks up to the end to unload cookers and supplies. I would suggest that those with grills and cookers be the only ones that go back there though and anybody else could pull in, unload and pull back out. I did tell Artie, that we would leave the area better than we found it, in exchange for the use of the site, so be mindful of that if ya’ll don’t mind. And as you’re walking around the area, if you see trash that is not ours, please put it in the cans.
So, the cookout will be at the Pavillion at Grenada Landing, which is excellent. I suggest we start cooking around about 4-4:30 and plan to eat around 5-5:30. We can all just leave the boats right where they sit and visit and what not…..For those of you that plan on imbibing, you’ll need a cup rather than a can or bottle….the COE does not allow alcohol on property and we’re in the wide open and considering we’re cooking fish and Park Rangers being Park Rangers, they’re liable to show up about eating time to “inspect” the food for public safety purposes.![]()
I’ll try and get a map posted shortly as well.
One last thought…we’re liable to have a few kids show up and I always like to have a few things to hand out for them, so if you think about it and you can, when you sign up if you could include a crankbait or a hat or something like that, that’d be great. I have a few things left over from last year and Hollic is bringing a stash of door prizes I know, but I try and keep a kitty stocked for any kids that fish with us. If it’s not used this time, the next few FJs is normally when we get the kids and I’ll hold them over for then.
One last, last thought…if it’s not too much troulble for somebody, could you bring a garbage can or two. There’s only a couple at the Pavillion and I have one I can bring, but that’s the sort of thing I’m liable to forget.
Wannabe…
