If you wish to go a extra mile, fill your holes with silicone and then place a piece of rubber insulation the length of the bracket and then bolt it down. The insulation will absorb the noice and break up interference.
With the isolaters we're talking about, it's not going to be a clean installation with that rubber backing since the top of them have a rubber boot around the hole (they stick up past the top of the hull about 1/4" ) and will serve a similar purpose to the backing, but if you do that, make sure the rubber backing is UV stabilized.
Wannabe...
I also ordered one of those Minn Kota quick release mounts for installation - don't want it stolen when I go on road trips. Put the rubber insulation under the quick release mount prior to bolting down? Thanks again.
I don't mean to hijack, but I've got one of those quick release mounts I am not going to use... I'm sure you wish you had known, I do too...
What you want for it EZ?
Seems like I paid bout $85 for it, now it has dust on it and one missing nut and washer.. I'm sure whatever it is, we'll both be happy. PM me and I bet we can work it out..
