    I caught a 3lb1oz crappie last Saturday.Do yall think i should mount it?I've caught bigger before just have never cared about mounting one til here lately.

    I personally would only because I do not have one mounted. Like you, I think I may have caught a couple of 3's in the past but never cared about mounting one until the last few years. But if I can ever hit 3+ again I plan on getting it mounted.

    I hooked a bigger one the sameday,so maybe i will wait a while longer.Some buddies say 3lbers are average in this lake ,but i don't know.

    Not sure. My walls are full of ducks and deer and it would be a problem just finding a place to hang it. I've always said I'd mount a 3 lber though. Congrats on the big fish.

    I hear ya gabowman. I have a room with a butt load of deer heads and 2 bears but no big crappie..............yet!

    I just had some 3 lber fillets for dinner the other day. I want a 5 lber and i might mount it.

    In search of a 4 lber, myself. Fishing Sardis, Arkabutla, and Grenada, I don't really consider 3 lbs a trophy. if I lived somewhere else, a 3lber would be a trophy for sure. I have been thinking of keeping 3 lbers in the freezer until I have a 7 fish stringer and getting a mount of that.

    Water ever gets right at butla some 4s might come outta there this yr.
