Stopped out there today and snapped these. Ain't much to see. In the pic with the track hoe you can see a little pile of rocks all the way down at the water line. That's where the slide is. They did some work obviously yesterday and sort of smoothed it over. They had that dozer and track hoe on the other side of the railing and were using that honker CAT articulated dump truck to haul rock to the site as well. There were 4 COE guys out there getting ready to work and I spoke with them and told 'em they've got till 5 PM to get this thing over with and plug that big whirl pool hole over by the gate house - OR ELSE. They said they'd do their best, but were hoping to have it finished by the end of the week. I told 'em "I'm Wannabe and I expect they'll be done by 5 today" That's when they started laughing and pointed at me and said "oh yeah, you're that ignernt fella that fished the tournament and........". They said some other stuff but I went ahead and left before I heard the rest. I was pretty sure I'd made my point.

Is there a dam bait shop there, where a fella can buy some dam bait....and a dam fishing license?

I had a BPT moment there, I hope that isn't what started the slide.

While I was questioning the guy, he told me you really can't see much from there. After about 20 questions, he said he could get me a real good view if I'd follow him down to the water about waste deep and he'd hold my legs and hold me under while I snap as many pics as I want. I would have, for ya'll and all, but really needed to get to work. Besides...I don't think my Iphone works under water very well since it's so muddy right now.

If I had to guess, I'd say there area they are working on is about 50-75 feet long and maybe 3 foot above the water line. Really hard to tell since with equipment that large, they've really got to turn a large area over to get anything done. If I'm right, looks to me like they'd be more effective with a back hoe and a skid steer loader. Then again, what do I know? I'm just

I don't suppose that you are the one that threw that sprike bottle down between you and the dozer are you?
