I don't know why people get bent out of shape about OSS'ers. Heck I turkey and duck hunt in Missouri. Anything that can bring money to our state is a good thing.
That is exactly what I say as well, if people from other states want to fish here-it does nothing but help our state. I am going to have to think twice about launching at the WV landing again, I have an in-state tag but it just doesn't seem worth it with what is going on lately. Sad to hear about this happening again!
They really need to install cameras there. I hope somebody catches this a--hole.
My instinct would lean toward's Jim's solution....However, if Enid is like Grenada....one minute you're on State Land, the next you're on Federal Land...discharging a weapon on Federal land for any reason - even to protect your own life - could land you in some deep legal you know what. If you're packing on COE, you better KNOW what you're doing.

I do.
I'll buy an out of date Mississippi license to put on my truck and trailer right before I hit the ramp from any body that has an old pair layin round. Rather take my chances on a ticket for tags than $$$$ and the inconvenience of slached tires. Seriously though, I DO feel for the guy when somebody catches him. My guess is he would have "tripped" over the tongue of a trailer several times before the law gets there.
Gotta tell, ya though. Bein FROM MO, I have never been treated any better by any group of guys than I experience in Mississippi. I'd like to think I have some very good friends that I've never met except on here, and you just don't always find that. But like they say, one bad apple.
Man i hate to hear of these things happening......everyone needs to keep a eye out for each other sounds like this person is just trying to start some trouble.
Alst I'm saying is with the way the gun laws are now, the gov't's first reaction is to prosecute the gun owner and they're even quicker to jump when it's the feds. Know what you're doing.
For example....say I keep a pistol in my truck at all times. Every morning, I drop the kids off at school. Say I don't come to a stop when a school bus is flashing yellow and a cop pulls me over for it....If he happens to see my weapon or I offer that I have one....presto...automatic fedeal firearms conviction for having a weapon within something like 1,000 feet of a school. A felony, which means if I have a conviction, I've automatically lost my right to own a weapon in the future. This stuff happens.

Its been going on for a few years there. A couple of buddies and I talked the other day about setting up a surveillance and try to catch who's doing it. Video tape don't lie and may discourage others in the future. I'd be wiling to bet who ever it is, their not a member of this board!
