Dadgum, after reading this, I thought - I better check and see when mine expires. Just tore my wallet to pieces and can't find hide nor hair of 'em. Dangit! I'm pretty dang sure I've got a Sportsman's license this year, but I sure can't lay hands on it to prove it.

O-M-G!!!!!!! I remember that post now....somebody just shoot me and put me out of my misery.

Have not mailed a check. I'm headed to the court date, so hopefully, that will be the way it works out - reduced fine for showing proof of new license.....silly way to go about it though....Then again....pretty easy way for the state to get and extra $400 out of folks that can't get out of work or don't know to ask. Sounds about right that the politicians we have these days would write the laws that way.

WB, you stand tall and tell the Judge the whole story and he will dismiss it, if he can quit laughing long enough. lol

It has been my experiance that if you go to court and plead "not guilty", the judge will set a date for court. You show up and the GW dosen't(cause its his day off) and you go free. It's worked for me before.
