I can NEVER point a finger at a thread jacker....... No problem. I was curious how Holic's "lady" handled the details of the tag sale.

They will price everything and handle everything. You will be told to get gone and don't come back until its over. They do that for your own good. Are you coming to spring camp? If so, I might that some things off your hands. Send me a pm of what all you will be selling.

I will not be travelling anywhere out of my state this year and maybe NEVER if this Medicaid thing with my Mom doesn't get straightened out. Last year I had to pay $41K out of pocket for parents' nursing home charges and one funeral. That was just for half a year! Pay translates into selling anything I could get converted to a decent cash price!

Now I'm trying to sell the house so I have to empty it.

CN, I'd definately do the Estate Sale rather than an auction, seriously, for all the reasons previously stated. Good advice. But, a word of caution-----tell Mr. Grumpy to make a move every so often or he'll get solt as a statue and took away 'for you can stop 'em. And, if he does, just remember...........no returns and no warranty!!!!

CN, the prices the auction people get are directly related to the type of people that come to your sale. Ifn Theys a bunch of MO hillbillies that ain't had a job in 7 years show up, don't expect much. If the auction company advertises in the bigger cities yo prices will go up. Most if your more reputable auction companies will advertise, have a concession trailer and a crew to handle everything. My dads family went this route and they did really well.
