Glad you know where its at. I was in some big waves 2 weeks ago and my trolling motor mount got ripped off my boat...luckily it didnt go overboard like yours :D
Bunge cords and straps don't stop the shaft from moving and possible developing hairline cracks in the shaft over time but it will stop it from deployment. The Ram mount will hold it perfectly still.
If I had a boat right now to put one on I might have to go get me one of them mounts.
I took an old motor guide velcro strap and screwed it to my deck just in case the mounting bolts come loose. I'm hoping it'll keep my minnkota from takin a swim.
