You rig up linkage to connect your tiller kicker motor to your big motor....then you can use your steering wheel. You will not need a kicker if you get a 80 lb. thrust Terrova with I-Pilot.

Can a tiller be converted to a regular console steer? Just wondering. All the good deals seem to be on tillers
Will eventually be looking for one something like this

I've heard that about the linkage but was more concerned about throttle. I'm guessing that people do this?

Throttle...... your gonna be trolling right? Get a low idle speed control for your kicker, dial in your desired speed and troll on. It would be cheaper, less to fool with , easier etc........with a Terrova

Actually they are both corrrect on this one. Use the kicker for thrust and the Terrova for steering only then you don't have to worry about pulling your batteries down. You can use this combo all day easily.Thumbs Up

Troll Master like Creek has ain't all that bad if you can swing it, but you've got to get a kicker that accepts the hook up. Might price the whole set up out of your range.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
