I have a Minnkota 3 bank that has been doing a fine job for 4 years. My stuff gets 4 years use for every actual year.

That's a difficult question to answer. I've had 2 that failed, both different brands. The most recent one was a dual pro 3x15 amp honked that tops the scales at 50 pounds. Probably not a better one made, but they check in at $400 + range. One of the banks continuously charged and it was 12 years old. The other was 8 years old but forget the brand. I ve run bps chargers with good luck and minn kotas. Based on price per amp, I went with a mk330d for the latest replacement. Can't say it's the best, but it was reasonably priced and I trust the brand. So far, I'm happy with it.

I've used several different brands of chargers since I bought my boat. I am on my third charger now and fixing to change out with #4. The one I have now is a Minn Kota MK330 and the replacement is a Minn Kota MK345D. Nothing wrong with the 330. I am changing to the 345D because I am going with a MK 101 Terrova and want my batteries charged faster and stronger. For my money, I don't think you can beat Minn Kota. They have come a long way in the past years.

I knew 'Shop Til U Drop' would have researched this quite a bit... Have a dual pro now but it was completely submerged due to a busted water line in garage.. Been a great charge for 8 yrs but they are pricey.. Thanks for the input on MK was leaning towards them just wanted some professional input

Don't forget that Dual Pro has a very good warranty program. They might be willing to work with you. It wouldn't hurt to call them.

That's true....I've heard tales of them really bending over backwards to work with customers even on chargers that were out of warranty. In fact, I sent them an email to see what it would cost to fix the one bank that was bad on mine and it was reasonable, but since it was so heavy, I figured shipping would eat my lunch money....well, you know when I say lunch money, I don't really mean lunch money since I have other folks buy my lunch. So...it was just literary license on my part.

WB how long does your charger stay flashing yellow? I just hooked mine up yesterday to 2 brand new bats they checked at 12.6 put charger on it stayed yellow for a minute than flashing for 7 hrs till it turned green.
I called Minn Kota and they said that was normal with a 180 reserve bat, but they were almost full when put on
