I think I'm getting a little better with the SI, thanks to some of you guys, esp DG00.
This is one I took today. First person to come up with the location within, lets say 100 yards, gets a free package of jigs from me.... You just give the location description and I'll know you know.. or GPS if you have it...

Never been there EZ, but from what all you guys talk about on here, I'm guessing the "Welfare Hole"?

Heck...I cant even figure out what I'm looking at!?!![]()
My guess is in Florida or Hot Springs Arkansas based on the 57.4 degree water temp
Either the great barrier reef off of Australia or just an aerial photograph of the Sahara. SI is sum kinda uhmazing. I figure if it's one or the other I mentioned, you got the teleport option also.

Welp,RCC and GR8 are bout as close as anyone, but no cigar... Hey, I was surprised at the water temp today as well, some of the sournding areas had as high as 59.8. I was sure they would bit and bit good, but noooooooooooooooo... so I played with the SI. I bet that thang will tell you a lot ifn a person knew how to read it.. Ima working on it..
O, btw, if no one has gotten it right by this Sunday at 6PM, guessing is over. I'll tell you.
That looks great EZ. Glad you got it down pat. I learned a new trick last week. When side scanning, you can push the arrow keys and it will freeze the screen. Then you can adjust your sharpness, contrast, sensitivity, etc.. to get the best picture while the screen is frozen. Once you got it dialed in just leave it set! Also, I changed my SI from 800 khz to 455 khz. It makes the down imaging work much better on 455 and the scan is wider and better in shallow water.
I think that picture was taken up river. There is a real popular point that bass fisherman fish. I don't really know what it is called but you pass it on the way to horseshoe lake. It is the point right off the river channel. Am I correct?

It's obvious DG00 has done his homework. There is a place exactly where he is talking about, but not this one. Mine is well below 43. I think it is next to impossible to guess it anyhow, don't you? There are hundreds of places that resemble this one. I just thought it was a neat pic when I went through there. There were several boats fishing this place within my 40 ft and I bet if I had the SI tweaked just right and looked close I would see their lines and hooks, they were that close.
Thanks for the tips, I'm gonna use them today. I been wondering why I haven't been catching crappie lately, now I know most of it, been foolin around with this SI all the while I should be fishing, but today, can't use that excuse. I need a mess of fish..
