    The reason I said unpainted is you almost double the size of the crankbait, that the fish see, when you have the bill painted.

    Creek....thats my thinking on that as well. But then again.....I have caught crappie on crankbaits with painted bills too. The Wiggle Warts have painted bills.

    I would like to pull 2 of each for a day a figure this thing out. Maachuu send me 4 and I'll post my results around August
