drift sock rigging

just bought a pair of drift socks,and wondered how yall rig yall ,because i`ve never used them before.i read somewhere u could use 7ft of rope and put a piece of swim noodle on the sock end and jus tie to your cleats,what yall think.

i guess thats what i will do ,but will add the noodle so it will float if it comes untied
