What we have here is a failure to communicate. Each transducer has a signal cone which is how wide your signal is in the depth water you are in. The deeper the water, the wider your signal. If you are in say 20-25 fow, your cones could be bouncing off of each other, therefore making the clicking noise. Next time this happens, change the transducer frequency on one of the units. this could be i was in 30 ft never heard it before but it was only 1 the other 1 would not do it i switch units and it was just 1 the noise went from the front to back when i move the unit

I can't hear my 898 tranducer except when I am at home in the garage.... but I hear the US2 all the time. No matter if I have both depthfinders going or just the US2.
