Are transducers for trolling motors universal?????

The wire to my transducer got cut and I was wondering if I could just buy a new wire/transducer somewhere. I just have a cheap Eagle Magna III on the front of my boat. This depth finder and transducer is now over 11 years old. I guess my question is are the transducers universal or not and if they are, where can I get one?

No they are not universal......You can however splice transducer wires back together .....Check with Cane Pole and he can tell you how to do it. Or you can go to the Eagle website and look up your fish finder and find the transducer number and order a new one if they are still available for one that old. If they still are available I would imagine that the cost would be more than your old fish finder is worth. So your best options would be either splice your cable back or just buy a new fishfinder.

I just got that eagle 480 for $209 at BPS only used twice now sat and sun but I love it. If your gonna get it you'd better get it they stopes making eagle that's why they are all on sale.
