Default A question for the best crappie fishermen and women in the world

Wannabe, you can answer also. The rod rack that EZ built is one of the best additions I have ever put on my boat. However, I currently have spinning reels on all of my trolling rods. When my rods are in all in the rod rack, the spinning reels hit each other. I'm thinking about going to a low profile reel instead. I really like the ones Yikess has but at $45 each, that can add up.

Or should I take a chance and cheap out with something like these?HT Enterprises Deluxe MC2 Bait Cast Reel.
Or do you all have any other suggestions?
    Thanks

Speck, they really just line holders. I put spinnin reals on when feshin deep and the mini bait casters when shallow water feshin. Now ifn you gonna pull cranks or long line, you really need a better reel. Normal shallow water feshin the cheap ones will werk fine.

Thanks Minner. These would strictly be for spider rigging. I have different rods for cranking. I really want something with a level wind and adjustable drag.

Chris, can't you stagger your rods so the reels don't touch, that's what I do, no problem.

Take a look at Shaekspeare Axiom or Sigma's. Both sub $30 at Wal-Mart and head and shoulders above the WM. Never held that HT MC2, but doesn't appear to be much of nothing from the pic.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

I use Shimano baitcasters that I buy of e-bay. I bought like 20 and have 1 reel that probably needs cleaning. Average price is about $20.00.
