I've had issues with the gold braided line that I have on one reel. It is 20/6, a lot more drag, takes longer to get down to deeper levels not to mention I was touching poles last weekend with a native that was using green mono, I had the gold stren, same set up, same depth, everything, except the luck. The line seemed to be the only variable. Water was stained but at 15' not sure that matters. Anyway I changed it out last night on 2 reels for a test run. The braid is great for snatching em out of them tree tops and if it gets hung you can straighten the hook out.

IMO no it does not, but then you'll get into a situation like leakfree every now and then that will leave you wondering. Still, that's what I use - Viscious Hi Vis, although my pre-tied rigs are with 10# Pline CXXX, not because I think it's better, it's just that I keep a roll of it in the house so I can tie them while I watch TV.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

You ever seen hi-vis line in a dark room? It looks just like regular mono. The light passing through the line gives it the bright color. Once it is submerged and out of the sunlight, it is just like clear mono line. I got a 1/4 lb roll of Vicious 6lb test from Monk's like ES.... The 6 lb test has 2350 yards on the 1/4 lb roll. All for $8 plus $6 shipping.. Hard to beat.

It's probably just like fiber optics! I'm going to interogate some fish in the morning and get to the bottom of this. Twist their little fins and stuff till they talk. Lord have mercy!

The little basties, acted like they didn't know anything. I gave em the "ice" treatment. We worked over a goo pretty good and sent him back to warn the rest. You mess with ole leaky and it won't be pretty.
