    Default Roland Martin

Went to bass pro this afternoon and bumped into Terry Stewart who, along with his fishing partner Dr. Tonya Robertson, won the MCC tourney at Chotard last month. We were in the jig isle and along comes Roland. I introduce myself & proceed to tell him I enjoy watching fishing shows on TV, especially the "vs" network (one of his sponsors). Turns out he's a regular guy who loves telling fishing stories, seemed like he was glad I spoke to him. He was surprised to learn we know what planer boards are, thanks to yikess, and that we perch jerkers use SI/DI ff's too. If you run into him sometime, speak up.

Wow, Roland Martin in Pearl, MS? Was he lost or something. That's too neat. I had always pictured him as a snobby guy. Goes to show you never know about someone till you meet them.

A few of those guys might be snobs but the ones that I have been around were not. Heck....they put their pants on just like we do....one leg at a time.

Definitely not a snob, and told his stories like he really enjoyed it, very enthusiastic.

That round faced fellow in the middle would give Jerry Clower a run for his money.

When he was on the tour he was a snob. I fished against him in the late 70's. I have talked to him several times since and he has mellowed. He's a nice guy.
