    Default barnett.feshing report

Lets just say WINDY and COLD. Weathermans wind gause.is bad wrong. Said 5 to 10 n was closer to 12-15 with 20 mph gusts. Couldnt fusf.welfare hole so we finally found a side channel off the river with deep water but the wi.d found us anyway. Was on the water for 4 hours n only fished for 45 minutes due to looking for deep water out of the wind

I caught one catfish around Rose's Bluff... That is it.... Fished about 4 hours. It was nice to finally be back on the water. I experimented with long lines. Can't wait to get out and try it again...

Why are you looking for deep water? Most of the limits getting caught up here are less than 10ft deep.

I went but not RB. Crossed the river at Natchez and fished Old River. Watched the natives load up, I did 1 better than last week. One nice slab, another keeper and one border line. Saw an ole boy that was in the MCC said he was picking up some nice 2 pounders, didn't witness any. Wind was not bad for a change. Got a hold of a river monster that put a permenant kink in one of my rods. Never turned him. Tried a little long linning, got a few bumps, no cigar. Next time.

I lived in Natchez for a few years, fished those old river lakes with one pole and one minnow under a cork and caught some very nice crappie.

That wind is a real show stopper...atleast for me it is. What's worse is those weathermen actually get PAID to make all those misleading weather reports. Better luck next time.:o
