Alright boys let's quit yapping and go fishing !!! I haven't ever fished Barnett but would like to try it out sometime. I have fished Grenada and have caught some of the biggest crappie I have ever caught. Let's face it I would rather be fishing somewhere than working anywhere.
Wouldn't we all?
Those who haven't ever fished Barnett, Feb 5th is the perfect time to come fish it. That's our first Fruit Jar of the year and it's gonna be alot of fun. Prefish Friday, go out and eat Friday night, talk alot of Smak, Swap some lies and then get up Saturday and do some more fishing. I just found out yesterday though that alot of the MCC boys can't fish it. They have the GOT FISH program going on and some of them will have to be there
And your point is??
DD you said 75 or 80 boats fishing 1 hole??? Thats not my cup of tea ! Will let you have that spot for sure. I did catch 8 yesterday afternoon, and had 3 real nice fish but they were as far away from that bridge as you can get in a boat i suppose. Right off the dam. Going to try my luck at chotard in the morning. Got several really good reports from over there this week.
Don't listen to that gewber. The only time there is crowd anywhere like that is when we get about a week or 2 rain storm. Then there is to much current to fish anywhere else but at the welfare hole. You can go river and find some eddy water and catch fish but DD don't know what eddy water is. He probably thinks it came Eddie on Leave It To Beaver.
I said at certain times, didn't I about the 75 boats? Hey now, I DO know what eddy water is, I've done my fair share of Spillway fishing over the years and caught some sho nuff Slab Crappie along with some12 to 15 lb Stripers so don't mess with the DonDon on fast water
I'm going to sit out the Barnett FJ. Mainly because that would be a haul for me! Grenada is about the outer limits of my travel for a weekend fishing trip
Speck, we are only 100 miles south of Nader. Barnett is easy to figure out.
