Hope to get down that way early April. Looking for lodging with access to electric for charging trolling motor batteries while there. Seen Super 8 and another one in Hernado. Are these an option with electric hookup or is there something better or closer? Looking forward to coming down and catching a few big slabs. I don't even eat fish but sure like to feel the thump.
I stayed at that Super 8 once, with about 20 other with boats, they let us use the grass behind the motel and we all plugged into their electricity for the chargers.

TOO MANY IDIOTS TO FEW BULLETS
We have stated in the town of tunica, not where the casinos are but the town itslef. The motel was called the plantation inn may have changed names by now. Not bad, good restraunt in town (blue & white). Back right up to your room, only about 6=7 miles to the dam.
Feelay, how far is it from Southaven to Hernando Point?
Thanks guys I will check into the one at Tunica also as well as the Super 8. I can always bring some MO fish down and put in there if you all think it is fished out. Speck sure likes Butla but you all have 4 or 5 very good lakes to choose from in NW Sippi. We may try Grenada while we are down there if the wind is not to bad one day. Like I said above I don't even eat them just like to catch fish and the bigger the better so may as well head south to where you all grow them big.
If your stay permits, you might want to try out Lake Washington, just south of Greenville. The crappie fishing there is real good with some big fish. They also have cabins with kitchens.
Just make sure you check the lake levels before you come there may only be one or two ramps with enough water to launch in early April or March. Its about 20min from Southaven lots of places to stay there, several motels right off interstate but I don't know about elec hookups. If you have a camper they have some good campgrounds down there.

Slabo, I have a sister living in Southaven and might suffer staying with her. We could call these tournaments the Crappie.Com Interstate Series. Start at the top and work your way down.
