I guess I had the coldest boatride of my life yesterday. We ran from the 43 bridge down to marker F which is about 2/3 of the way down the main lake. We tried a couple of spots down there but no fish. The water was even slick down there, first time I've seen it that way. I need to get one of those masks if I'm gonna do that again. Might help my looks a little too.
A good motorcycle helmet with face shield works better. It covers your hold big head. I'm a good one to talk, I have 2 but can't get to them. Today might be a good day to hunt for them.
Tell ya the catfish were biting good. I had 6 between a lb n a half n 5 lbs. Wont talk about rhe crappie though lol had afew hits but was to lazy to put a pole in each hand. I did some easing around n.found a couple deep i didnt know bout

DD - I bet yall was getting several bites and didn't know it. I had to hold my sam heaton pole in front of the cork handle and put the line between my fingers to feel the bites. They were hitting real real light. I think by next week if it doesn't rain too much they should be stacked up tight.
Scott - I made that ride one day with no face mask. Had to stop cause my bald head kept freezing. That was the first time I had a brain freeze from a boat ride and not from eating ice cream.. ha. I got a cheap face mask now that helps but a hard face mask would be pretty awesome. Hope yall still had a good time on the rez. Hope to catch yall out there again soon.
