This has been several years ago and my Dad's buddy Hip would never buy a license since he was a non-resident. He had a place at Sardis and I remember us going with him every now and then. Well he figured the fine was cheaper than the license since the non-resident license was kinda high.
Well I guess the officers wasn't on the lakes as much as they are now, so he got away with it for several years, and when he did get checked and fined he said the fine was cheaper than buying the license.
But this was Hip, what ever to save a dollar.
I wonder if the fine is the same for residents and non-residents without a license?
It's CRAPPIE season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A non resident license is only $50. I'll spend more than that on one fishing trip

Sat, I'm going to be buying mine.
I just thought it was funny that he went several years without buying one. As often as I get checked I should know the guys by name by now.
