    Default My One Fishin Trip


    Been off work since the 19th, and only got to go fishin one time. I believe I went on Monday the 22nd. Naturally it was the most insanely windy day this year. I put in at Butla and quickly realized that the wind was coming from every direction and I couldn't get out of the wind ANYWHERE on that lake. So I uprooted and headed for the mighty Coldwater river...

    Didn't take long to remember why nobody fishes the river.

    Any of you are wondering if the water level is high enough to put in at Hwy 51 landing, the answer if barely. I had another transome saver mis-hap. Left it on when putting the boat in, so I had to go after it.

    I what rank the water level at that VITAL depth...
