Dadgummit! I figured I was gonna have to take the boys hunting Saturday, but Gottabe headed to a friend's house to spend the night and Gonnabe invited a friend over to stay with us. No problem, I says to myself, I'll just go on fishing then. That's when Is got wise.....

"Why don't you see if Gonna and Taylor want to go too".
"Errrr.....um....it's gonnabe cold in the AM".
"Oh, well in that case why don' you just go about 8 then"

"Gee, it's still cold....why don't you just bring 'em to the ramp later"
"OK"

So off I go about 7:30 and I fall in with about 762 of the boats and start on some good fish....really good fish. Then Is starts in on the texts

"Warm enough yet?"
"How about now"
"Pretty warm here, how about there?"

Dangit, so I roll up and run in and pic them up about 9:30. Taylor really enjoyed the 95 mile per hour run back out.

So we fall back on 'em and Taylor is whacking them good. Real good. Real dang good.

Then Is starts in on the texts:

"Ya'll hungry yet"
"What time is it there"
"It's late here"
"Lunch is ready"
"Be here in 12 minutes"



So we head in about Noon.

Ding Dang it. Took our best 7 and roughed 'em on my scales at between 13 and 13.5. Who knows, but would have been right in there with a full day either semi-pro or am.

BTW, Taylor is my new tournament partner and Gonna and Gotta are out. His guide rates are better and he doesn't mind if I honk the horn.

Ran into Bandit on the water too. Apparently, he thought he recognized my boat, but wasn't sure since it wasn't attached to a Corp boat with a rope, so he asked who I was just to be sure. LOL.

G, Gonna and Gotta are better, but they're rates are steep and they seem to have lost patience with me.

Double, I was actually doing pretty well and 5 keeps and 2 over 2 before the texts started coming hot and heavy. Wasn't burning the numbers up, but the fish were chunks.

Notice, I'm making absolutely not mention of my trip Sunday.
