Directions to mini camp

At G-3's request, here are directions to get to Brown's Landing and the Rez. From the north, driving south on the Natchez Trace, in the area of Mile Marker 115 look for the big sign that directs you to the Rez and Hwy 43, take that exit and look for this intersection



turn right, as indicated and look for an immediate right turn at this sign



My on-board GPS put it at [email protected] by [email protected], Nearest address is: Brown's Landing, Canton, MS 39046, nearest intersection: Yandell Rd & Hwy 43 & Old Natchez Trace. As you meander through the road to the pavilion, you will see this (the gate will be open but there isn't room for boats),

Pretty kewl Maj. Ya'll be careful as there might be people on bikes all over the Trace when you leave and they do not care about you. They'll be in the middle of the road like they own it

The BullNettleNews forum had a BBQ bash at Brown's Landing earlier this year. These are the directions they posted to the landing. With all the directions yall got... Nobody should get lost now.. ha..

Brown's Landing Pavillion on the Upper Lake of the Ross Barnett Reservoir. There are 2 RV parks within a mile and a half or so of it. Allens Creek RV (601)829-4777 RV and tent camping, and Goshen Springs campground, full RV and rv rentals, plus primitive camping, (601)829-2751 or 1-877-829-2751.

Look just south of Turcotte Lab for Brown's Landing Rd.

For the guys who don't know about this place here are some photos. The entrance to the landing is just a few yards from the exit from the Natchez Trace on Highway 43. It is just south of the Turcotte Lab gun range very near the WMR on the Pearl River. The landing right behind Tommy's Trading Post is much more popular and well known. This landing is on the same road a mile or two away, but on the Madison County side of the reservoir.
