    Default Debut Trip To Barnett

Lunker showed Steve and I around the "rez" yesterday. We learned a lot about the lake and burned a lot of gas. From jig fishing in the harbor to 5 or so miles up river from Tommy's at the "big bend". Lunker really knows that place. It was a beautiful day to be fishing but not many fish were being caught. We wound up with 10 keepers plus a few throwbacks. I think we caught 3 catfish and 1 drum also. We were having so much fun that we forgot to take pics. This is the only one we took. My first Barnett crappie.

This old man sure got wore out yesterday, first time to fish all day in a long time, I look like Rudolf the Red Nosed raindeer this morning, my sunscreen wore off. Trey (Lunker) took us from one end to the other looking for fish but with little joy. I think Trey said he caught his 1st CB crappie. Had some blacks, Trey and Scott caught 2 at the same time from this top but not another bite there. Did anyone fishing the Rez have a good catch yesterday, if so how about some tips?

We just went over for the day. We might go back one more time before the camp and hunt for some fish. We are planning on taking the camper over on Wed. the 10th and fish a few days.

Hook One--It didn't look like anybody was wearing them out. People weren't staying in one place for very long. We figured there would be a lot more folks fishing than there was. A beautiful day to be on the water plus being on a Saturday.

All I really want to know is if it was us or just a bad fishing day. We tried all kinds of ways except we didn't go back in any lakes up river.

Glad you guys had fun. I LOOKED FOR YA. I just didn't have time to go to Wolf Saturday since we HAD to be at the house at 1 so we hit the rez instead. We THOUGHT we were gonna have a good day. Little or no wind, 3 days after the rain and while we were putting our poles out, 2 of them bent over into the water. Missed the fish but man they took them hard They weren't biting much at all after that. We were in the White bay boat and kept 5 and threw back a couple or 3.
