Default A big old red crappie with teeth

Went out from Fla/bama on a head boat snapper fishing with 9 paying customers. @ each is the limit and once the boat caught 18 keeper snapper the capt said it's over, going back in. Don't know about anyone else but I caught 3 of the 18 and my step-son caught one but we did get some nice ones. My best before had been 12 lbs and this one was bigger don't know how much but it was bigger.

The mate cleaned most of the folks fish but my step-son wanted to clean ours and I found out why, this is the skeleton afterwards grilled with cajun spices and butter and it was so good.

Never heard of them quitting after a limit. We always just target a different species til time runs out.

Trouble is that now in Ala there are so many snapper it is very hard to catch anything else plus it was half a day trip and the time was almost up anyway. The 1st 5 places he stopped at we only had 1 keeper. The last place he stopped we caught the rest. That's the way he did it.

Now that you've got that out of your system, are you ready for some real fishing?

Yep as soon as we move this wind out of the way. Did you string the Power Pro? When you going to put your big one on here?

Steve, I was up in Alaska a few years ago and our guide made his son jump in the river and get the backbones from the King Salmon that he had just cleaned. Which we all thought he was crazy at the time because the water was a brisk 40 degrees and they were just backbones ! Then he put them on the grill and cooked them with some cajun seasoning and every day after that we threatened to throw his son in the river if he threw away the backbones !!! That there is some fine eating !!!!!

That's a nice sized snapper. I bet they ate good too. Congrats on the catch.
