Default AHHH, there are those moments in your life that you'll NEVER forget.

Some are simply awesome and some are well, AWFUL. Then there are what we in my circle of friends call BLUE TOWEL MOMENTS.

Saturday night with Miss State playing Florida and a top 25 ranking on the line (yeh, we're number 24 in the nation babeeee) I thought about doing some really good football food, NACHO's YUMMMMMMMm Vanessa went to the store, bought all the ...stuff and browned the Hamburger meat so all was good in our world. Kewl, almost game time so we sat down to eat. Meat. CHECK, chop, CHECK, Jalapeno's CHECK, CAN NACHO CHEESE ummm CHECK.
Man were they good, nice bite with the Jalapeno's and gooey cheese, couldn't have been better but I was not prepared for what my body would do with them. OWWWWWWWWW, my stomach aches and just before the game. Rumble, tumble it goes. then it happened GOT TO GO BABE, be right back, as I made the mad dash to the restroom at the house. Deep stomach cramps followed along with a steady stream of sweat on my forehead. I finally staggered out of the bathroom, almost feint and definately soaked from sweating. WHEWWWW, that's better, game time now, lets rock and roll.
Awesome States up 10-0 on Floraida and OWWWWW, CRAP, I take off again to the back room. Same room, same result. WHEWWWW. A little bit later and STATE WINS at the Swamp. I'm elated and it's time for bed. Thank goodness that, no more cramps this evening and I drift off to sleep.
Now, I had set the alarm clock for 5:30 as I had plans to do a little recon on the rez to see just how far up the lake the Crappie had migrated and maybe get lucky and catch me a few. BEEEEEPPPP BBEEEEPPPP, BBEEEEEPPPPPP. The alarm clock goes off and as I rise out of bed, I feel that same feeling from the night before. UHHH OHHHHH, that's not good. I make the mad dash to the rest room and take care of business. Kewl, I feel better and get on up, get dressed and Vanesssa makes coffee. Any of us older folks KNOW what coffee does to one's system early in the morning. Who needs Fiber, give me coffee and I'm good to go. Got my coffee down and sho nuff, GOT TO GO again. Took care of that but still had THAT FEELING that a blowout was overdue. Just not yet.
Well, I headed outside, hooked the boat up. Made a sammich, grabbed some water and a couple of Mountain dews and put them in the cooler. Here I go, off to the lake. About the time I got in the truck, my body said NOT SO FAST MY FRIEND and it was back to the house again for me. This was the one, you know them,. you hold onto the sides of the seat so when it releases, you don't fly off it from what feels like a rocket ship igniting. OW MAN, sweats, cramps but it's all good now so Ross Barnett, here I come.
All was good, put in at Tommy's and eased around with my spider rigging poles out, all 8 of them with double rigged minners and jigs, BAM, got one, BAM, got 2. All in all, it was slow but not bad either. HUMMM, 9:30 and that sammich is calling my name. I come through the pilings under 43, heading South and then I feel IT again. AWWW MAN, not today.
I reeled all my poles up til the baits were just on top of the water, put the trolling motor on HIGH and hauled butt towards a tree that was next to the bank south of the bridge along the highway where no one could see me. As I approach the back, I see it's a shallow flat and there's no way I can get all the way to shore so I get my mind to working. OK, I'll pull the nose out here, put the trolling motor in reverse and back the rear of the boat to shore, then take my shoes off, jump out, then to the shore to do what I gotta do.
Everything is going to plan and I'm patting myself on the back for putting a plan lie that under so much pressure. I get backed up, get my shoes off and I'm fixing to jump out of the boat what it hits. OOPS, not gonna make it to shore so out comes the 5 gallon bucket. Here I am, still IN VIEW of the traffic on hwy 43, sitting on a 5 gallon bucket with a life preserver over me to cover up as best I could. It seemed like 2 hours but was only maybe 5 minutes but things were finally taken care of. It was all good for the rest of the day THANK GOODNESS. BTW, If you know anyone that wants a 5 gallon bucket, I know where you can get one. LOL
