    Mississippi to Close State Park - WREG

    Sounds like they are feeling the heat a bit....
    We need to turn up the fire ! They interviewed Rep Warren McBride out of Courtland Ms he is trying to come up with a way to keep it open. Just an FYI !

    That is what we need more of , people getting involved in this project to stop it from happening. The more heat that is put out there the less chance of it closing.

    From the news3 story, State Representatives Warner Mc Bride and Tommy Reynolds. Also, the executive director of State Parks, Dr. Sam Polles. Better add these guys to list to "squeak" at.

    Just got off the phone with Ramey Ford, Director of State Parks. He enlightened my knowledge of state parks. Cossar is the leading loser of all state parks. The biggest problem is that the park land is owned by th COE. The state leases the land and must maintain everything. They are working on other avenues to maybe keep the park open. He also said that the senate just cut his 2012 budget 23%. They are trying.

    They need to learn how to figure losses and not count in the campground sites that are only used for the OVERFLOW. The cabins were rented 2600 times last year @ $75.00 a day = 195,000.00 no to even count in the campsites @ 20.00. Some one needs to refigure the LOSS?
