I still can't believe it! The big momma tournament is a week from saturday and I hadn't found a definite partner yet.

Well, I get a call, fellow asks "who you fishin' with?" I say "don't know yet" so he asks me to fish the tournament with him. I tell him to let me think on it, as he has a bit of a reputation of not really catching many fish.

So, couple days go by, the fellow in question ups the ante..."come fish with me and we'll fish outta my boat, use my gear, I'll get the minnows, gas, all the diet coke you can drink, sammiches, and will split winnings 80%-20% your favor"

Wow, what an offer! In a moment of weakness, I cave and agree to the terms. I mean, how bad can it be? We only need to weigh one fish and he has been known to catch ONE fish on occasion....

Man my phone has been ringing off the hook in the last few days with people calling about the tournament! There is no telling how many boats we will have. Its going to be a good time! I haven't ironed out a partner yet either. My normal club partner is the secretary/treasure and has volunteered to not fish to keep the books during early weigh-in.

I think I'm a pretty good negotiator actually. I drew the line on the backrub deal. And I could of been had for 95/5 split.
