Question I am goin to mount the 587ci I have on

the front of my boat and replace the Lowrance. I have Ipilot on the front and have the transducer mounted on it but I sometimes take it off when I side pull and I am able to unplug the power source and transducer and take it with the trolling motor. After thinking about this I would be able to do this with the HB because everything is in the back of the bracket, of course I can remove the FF but I can pull the trolling motor off because the cable are mounted in the bracket for the 587. Anyone got any suggestions as to what I might could do to be able to remove my trolling motor and transducer ? Is there some kind of wiring connector that I can use to make a plug where I can unplug the transducer from the HB mounting bracket ? not sure what my options are here

    thanks

Ram mount the front FF and put the power on a quick disconnect 2 wire deal from any auto parts store. Problem solved.

thanks WB, but I need to be able to disconnect the transducer from the boat, the HB mount is the only way that I know of mounting the 587ci, the power is permanent now and that wound be the problem, its just being able to disconnect the transducer with out havin to take the mounting bracket apart

Is the ducer mounted to the boat hull or to the TM? If TM, the Ram Mount will just go with the trolling motor and use the power disconnect. If hull mounted....you're hosed.
