I read on the side view forums that you could use Windex Multi Task Cleaner with vinegar to safely clean the screen of the 898. I found some at Kroger for $3 and got a micro-fiber cloth for like $2. I always get some kind of spray drops on my screen everytime I am out and I don't want them to hurt the screen coating.

What products can be used to clean my screen/display on my HB unit?

Also, you can get a screen protector here:

NuShield screen protectors provide long-lasting protection for your Humminbird display

Just some more info that you might be interested in...

The HB folks in Eufala say to use any glass cleaner THAT DOES NOT HAVE AMMONIA in it. I use Costa Del Mar glass spray on mine and haven't had a problem yet. Clean it before and after use.

DO NOT USE REGULAR WINDEX!!!!!! Amonia will etch the screen.

However, the Windex Multi Task Cleaner with vinegar is good stuff. Awful hard to get every streak out of it, but when you're a window washin' phewl like me, it comes natural.
