    Maj is right Machuu.....they are both good FF's. I too am still studying trying to make up my mind about them.

    customer service is a big part of the overall package, call LOWRANCE get help, call HUMMINBIRD get help, had HUMMINBIRD, now I don't good product,but after owning a lowrance got to say they are pretty easy to use. I like the 7 better than the 8, now on the customer service part. I'm old, lazy, get up late, go to bed early, don't like many,and most don't like me. now having said that I never have had a problem with lowrance customer service NEVER. always got what I ask for, and most of the time I just email and bam answer and problem fixed, most problems were my fault for not reading,and taking advice from C.C members, so keep asking, checking and when you make a decision it will be informed and you will be ahead of the game. once again good luck on your choice,

    Default Only problem I had with Lowrance Service

    was it was SLOWWWWWW as all get out. When I first got my 520c, it went out after 3 trips so I called and talked to them. Well, it was send it in and we'll send you a new one. I thought that was neat but when it took 8 weeks to get it back, I was PO'd real bad

    Beagle, you might want to have your med levels adjusted. That was plum.....nice......I'm thinking you need to have your qualude dose cut in half.

    Thanks beagle for the info, I appreciate all the help you guys are giving me. I feel if I just listen to the guys on here ( most of them LOL) I will be able to make a informed decision
