Default Just posted this on the Grenada lake

Facebook page. Doubt it will do any good but I was so PO'd from Trot lines all weekend long, I had to do something

Why are Trot lines permitted in the manner they are? They have half the lake going up Skuna blocked off and are in the way. There were over 50 boats out there pulling crankbaits on Grenada this Past Saturday and with all the trot lines everywhere no one could enter that portion of the lake in fear of losing $50 worth of baits. Alot of the trot lines are on dirty plastic coke bottles that are hard to see and Littter up the lake, just looks aweful and pollutes the water. From what I could tell most are left unchecked and someone is going to get caught in one one day and get hurt, leading to a lawsuit. Imagine a skier falling down in one and getting rusted hooks in them. Major lawsuit for allowing trot lines right there. Maybe allow jug fishing where they don't have lines and hooks between them, that's what alot of lakes to to prevent lawsuits.

dd, im not sure those are trot lines or gill nets............but i agree, you cannot access parts of the lake, and that really irritates me. something really should be done about it...........looked like they spanned half the lake in that area.

Dear Sir, these lakes are for flood control only, We do not care about fishermen or skiers or recreational boaters. These lakes are for flood control.

    Have a nice day.

Best thing for those trot lines is to get a sharp knife and make short pieces of them.

tossed them on the dash of the truck and one of them went behind the edge of the dash, near the windshield and I'm having problems getting it out. Seems the back treble hook got back in there and dropped down. LOL
