    Default Hobbies besides fishing?

We may have done this already, but what else do you do besides fishing?

I hunt a little when the boys make me.

Other than that, I've built a few fishing rods. Functional, but I ain't got the gift to bling 'em up very much. Here's a pic of an underspin I built. Sweet little pond rod. Bad accurate too. 6'3" with Fuji Alconites on a Mud Hole unsanded blank...Electric Blue threads with silver trim. The handle has a ruberized cork bumper and bunt cork accents.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

WOW, cool rod!!! A man of many talents!

Do you realize you left the door WIDE open for G-3 to have to go on alert??? Hopefully DD won't post photos of his hobbies. :D

I deer hunt (rifle and archery), turkey hunt and have been known to chase ducks and geese when given the opportunity. I go catfishing too on Mr. CN's 28' Tritoon when the river is within its banks. I don't have pics on this computer to prove my claims, though. Just that one of me with the 30+# bluecat I posted awhile back. I also enjoy gardening, sew and love to cook/bake.

I was raised as an only child out in the sticks in the 60's so I have a great appreciation of the outdoors!

We used to take mules and horses to Colorado and pack in 10-12 miles and camp/elk huntboth rifle and archery. Those were the good old days!

I tinker around with pouring soft pastic baits. Also avid archery deer and turkey hunter. Used to compete in 3D archery tournaments for years and was sponsered by a big archery company for a while. Umpired for 17 years. And just for fun, I like to find a random banker and thump him on the head.

my main hobby right now is maintaining patience and composure while trying to get 2 teenagers thru high school and college, other than that I also look for the occassional banker also. And just because I have 59 guns don't mean I like to shoot and hunt.

Obviously fish, but then I have bow hunted for 50 plus years. Deer, Elk, turkey, black bear, wild pigs, rabbits, and believe it or not, pheasant. For 20 plus years I have done the color/analysis with our local radio for the football/baseball teams, and have done 6 state championships at the Ed Jones Dome in St. Louis. Briefly, I filled in for a near by college doing the same thing. Love to golf, and play to a 6.

My main love however, is spending time with my swseetheart (17 years),The Deester, and doing anything (within reason) to keep her happy, and spending time with my two grown children, their spouses, and four awesome grand kids.

BTW, on the way back from Gulf Shores, I stopped in at Gander Mountain and wandered into the gun section. They had a table with guns on it on CLEARANCE! Never seen that with guns before. Most were 30% off MSRP, but a couple were 40 or 50% One was an 1187 with a missing extractor...50% off.. Picked up a Bennelli M1 that was something like $320 off or $579.

Been thinking I need a light 12 for dove. Any suggestions? Shooting a '65 Belgion A5 in light 20 forever. Thing's got a full choke though.
