Default Sardis Bound in the Morning (7/18/10)

Me and a bud will be at beach point at 5:30. Gonna try to figure out this "pushing cranks" thang. I'll be in the ole tracker with a 50 merk on it. Will be in my beat up maroon tacoma with a CC sticker on the back glass. Probably gonna stay on the north side between the ramp and mile marker 7. Stop by and shout at me if you see us. Pics to follow tomorrow, cause I've gotta good feeling

Default Hope you had better luck than I did

Was on the water at 5:45, put in at Engineer's point. Went up to clear creek pushing cranks til 10:00. End result: 1 14 " crappie and a 4 lb green carp. When i saw the spill way shut off I should have turned around and went back home. I guess after all of the rain yesterday they had to pinch it off. There is always another day.

Man I'm soo glad to hear you say that TushHog. We didn't do so hot either. I was about to get discouraged with the crankbaits. Tush, was that you in the TN boat with a blue umbrella? If so we talked to you while you caught a little bass. I caught 5 keepers, and 1 throw-back. I guess my poo dispenser in the back of the boat is working because my buddy didn't catch anything but 6 catfish.:D Here is my mule for the day...

I guess that I won't give up cranks yet

definitely don't give up! or maybe I just got spoiled at the FJ, but in my book when you come home with 54 12 1/2 to 14 inch fish life is good!!!

Congrats on the catch. I did not do as well the one time I pushed cranks, but I did catch crappie on the cranks.

Pushing cranks off the front has it's place and so does pulling them off the back. The trick setup is to be equipped so you can do either one efficiently.

Don't think that was me, I was in a gray Triton TC-17 (matches my hair & chin wiskers) pushing 2 off the front & 3 off the back.I got me a blue & white brella, but it's got to get real hot befo i put it up. I did order me 4 of them okuma's today. I guess that's stage two of the ADDICTION!!!!!!!! I'll be back down this sat. if you see me ,give me a holler.

By the way, that there sho is a nice mule you got there.
