Single fish tournament @ Grenada $1500 winner take all

Several of us in MCC have been trying to figure out a way to generate interest in the club, as well as, come up with different fund raising techniques. We have thrown the idea around of having an open (no membership required) single fish tournament on Grenada at the end of Sept. Who better to ask then crappie fishermen in the area. We thought about having registration on Friday night where we would have a cookout. That way we could talk a little about our club in a casual situation. There would be door prizes from our sponsors at the Friday night registration. As for entry fee we were thinking $100 a boat. That would be for 1 person or 2. None of this is set in stone I'm just looking for feedback.

I would do it similar to the Super Slab Series, www.superslabseries (they were supposed to come to Grenada but could not get things worked out with the city). All you have to do is take out the hourly weigh-ins. Each person pays an individual entry fee. This way, if someone wants to fish with 3 people in the boat they can. Each person in the boat will have to be registered to fish the tournament.

Make it early/mid September and I may be able to get some Alabama boys to come over.

I'm sure for you the price would be $150.00. Wished I could make it but I am almost out of vacation days.:o
