I certainly don't want to ruffle any feathers around here since I am new and I'm just getting to know you guys. If it's publicity, respect for your skills, and a good turn out that you want, it seems that you would welcome others (Not fishing for any $$$ from the championship of course). As of now the championship is simply a blip on the Off Topic page. No list of participants, no current standings, and most of all, NO HYPE!! If you want a small crowd at the weigh-in inclussive of only the qualifiers, I think you're on the right track.

I don't think that any non-qualifiers would "steal your thunder" with a little side betting as long as the real championship weigh-in is still treated as the "main event" (and it certainly should be).

I rarely get the opportunity to fish these days and have never fished Grenada lake. I you guys do decide to change your minds, I think that my wife just might let me come out to play.:rolleyes: If possible I would jump at the opportunity to hang with everybody again before we shut it down for another 6 months.

EmptyStringer and anyone else that wants to have a seperate FJ that same day, I say COME ON DOWN and play. There is plenty of room for all of us at Grenada. Get your own pot going and if any of the qualifiers in the Championship FJ want to get in yalls FJ pot they can anti up and be fishin 2 at a time... SO BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like I said, I wouldn't want to step on ANYBODY'S toes. If we had everyones blessing, maybe we could get a show of hands of who would be interested??

The Championship tourney is on Aug 7. No reason we cant have a dual tourney.
