Default MY jacked up sun visor for the 997

I think it looks darn good personally and only cost me 3 bucks. Works like a charm and has a nice fresh paint job!!! Ain't it amazing what you can do with Duct Tape and cardboard. All I need now is some JD weld on it and I'm 110% redneckorized

I thought that's what it looked like on your pictures the other day. If it works good, no problem with that. :D

Cheap and easy to replace if needed.

Couple of questions......not that I'd be one to build something so jacked up like that, but

    1) How deep is the visor on the top and

    2) Do you trailer with it on?

Default It sticks out a good 6 inches past the front of the FF

For the sides, I measured the FF, top to bottom and then went out 8 inches, perpendicular to that line as I sketched it out. Dropped down about 2 1/2 inches from the top, then went back to the bottom and drew a line at 1 1/2 inches perpendicular again, then just drew a line between those points and cut it out. for the other side, just simply laid that cut out on another one anotehr piece of stiff cardcoard, traced it and cut it out, then flipped it over to mirror the first one. Top was simple, just measure the top width and match the 2 sides. 4 good solid payers of Duck tape over the whole thing and 2 good coats of Black paint and I was done. It really does work very well and with the black instead of grey or silver, it absorbs sunlight instead of reflect if onto the screen

Default Oh and NO, I put it on the boat when I get to the lake

but it doesn't hurt it when crossing the lake at 40 MPH. Just turn it to face the back of the boat so no winds kicks up under it and it's good to go

    Default Wan't but $1,500 lol

I looked at them and to be honest, I like mine better. It covers the screen more than the one's I've seen and it's Black so it absorbs sunlight instead of reflecting it onto the screen. Just because someone makes something instead of buying something doesn't make it worse.

Congratulations on beating down the evil capitalist trying to take all our hard earned money.

The correct way to have done it is with one of those plastic corrugated elections signs that are laying around. If you turn the "grain" perpendicular to the face of the unit you can run a blade down one side of "the grain" and it will make a nice 90 degree bend for the corners. Water proof and just as cheap if you can "borrow" a sign out of someones yard.
